GLUE-DOWN FLOORING

WHAT IS GLUE-DOWN FLOORING?

Glue-Down Flooring is a method of flooring installation where the flooring material, such as vinyl planks or tiles, is directly adhered to the subfloor using a specialized adhesive. This method offers a solid and stable connection, creating a durable and long-lasting flooring surface

KEY BENEFITS & FEATURES

  •  Secure and Stable: The adhesive creates a strong, permanent bond between the flooring and the subfloor, minimizing movement and shifting. This makes it suitable for high-traffic areas and commercial spaces where stability is crucial.
  • Durable and Long-lasting: When properly installed, glue-down vinyl flooring can last for many years, depending on factors such as product quality, installation technique, and foot traffic.
  • Good for Moisture-Prone Areas: The adhesive creates a more secure barrier against moisture compared to floating installations, making glue-down flooring a better option for areas like bathrooms, kitchens, and basements.
  • Sound Dampening: The adhesive layer can help dampen sound, resulting in a quieter floor compared to floating floors.
  • Low Profile: Glue-down installations generally have a lower profile, which can be advantageous in spaces with limited height clearance.
  • Design Flexibility: This installation method allows for intricate designs, such as borders, patterns, and inlays
